In 1954 our mother, Katherine, and father, Joseph, decided to go into the well drilling and pump installation business. They not only wanted to put food on the table for their growing family, they wanted to be in a service business working for and helping the community. So, mom and dad started Joseph H. Liedl and Sons. Dad drilled wells and installed pumps by day and worked for Ford Motor Co at night while mom was raising the kids (Joe Jr, Art and Gene), raising animals (dogs, cats, chickens), cooking and canning everything and doing all the paperwork for the new business. In 1960 Leon was born and in 1965 their sister Kathy would complete their family. With all these boys dad had lots of helpers in the business and Kathy would help mom with all the paperwork in the office. Mom and Dad instilled their amazing work ethic, work hard and treat everyone like family, in all the kids! Dad would do a job for a customer and that night or sometimes several days later when he would go to collect payment he would deliver fresh vegetables that he would get at the farm stands to his customers “his family”. Over the years mom and dad worked very hard to provide for their family and in 1987 the business was passed down to their children. With many happy and some sad times their children have kept the family business going. Leon is now the owner and he runs the business like his mom and dad taught him. Every customer is family, do every job like you are doing it for your own home and be reliable, honest and most importantly stand by your word. We hope that you enjoyed getting to know us a little and we hope that you would trust us with your business.
